Initiatives
For more than 30 years, we’ve worked with universities, landcare groups and natural resource management groups to strengthen our understanding and management of our ecosystem.
Partners, Educators and Supporters
-
Landcare Australia
We have been members of the Landcare movement in Australia for 30 years, at times chairing our regional body and presently on the board of our Grazing Advisory Board. With the support of Landcare Australia, we have planted ten of thousands of trees and shrubs across our landscape, creating shelter and habitat for our livestock and native biodiversity.
-
Australian National University Sustainable Farms
We partner with the Australian National University Fenner School that has included Bohara as one of their Sustainable Farms case studies and regularly monitors the quality of our land, water, and bird and insect populations.
-
Land for Wildlife
We’re an accredited member of Land for Wildlife, a voluntary property registration scheme for landholders who wish to manage areas of wildlife habitat on their property.
-
Rivers of Carbon
We have partnered with Rivers of Carbon in a pilot scheme to introduce native fish into our dams and hope to expand this project.
